moonhenge

As requested by my correspondant, I snapped this photo on the way to my mini-golf lesson at lunch.

That hole there looks to be a par 4. I would approach it from between the second and third stone.

FANTASTIC! Thanks for the snap.

How'd the golf lesson go? Have you started driving the little orange ball with a putter?

Ha! I happen to know you have Photoshopped that image. I've been to Stonehenge-on-the-Moon, and that perspective can only be seen during a quarter Earth phase, never during a full Earth phase. Some Druid you are!

Mike,

I beg to differ.

You should know that one side of the moon ALWAYS faces the earth. The people on this side (Nearsidians) get to see a full earth phase every moon day. Obviously this is where Moonstonehenge resides.

The poor Farsidians don't even know what the earth is. Unless of course they take a FarSide tour (sometimes called the Larson tour) which is a holiday to meet Nearsidians.

I can only guess that your tour guide failed to tell you all this when you visited Moostonehenge.

Photoshoped? Ha, not likely.

Damn! I'm gonna call that Larson Tour Company and demand a refund! Yes, it was indeed the FarSide Tour Company I used...and you know, eveyone who worked for them seemed a little, well, cartoonish, if you know what I mean...

err, my apologies Mike and Cynde,

i saw Mike's name entry as a headline rather than Cynde's below the line entry.

probably just me but the layout seems a little confusing. wouldn't it be better to have the "posted by:..." before the line?

Aaaahh, Derek, the confusion is part of the fun! Question, though: If you're confused on the moon, are you only 1/6th as confused? And if you're hungry, are you only 1/6th as hungry? These laws of gravity and physics always did confuse me (and believe it or not, I obey them!).
